What You Should Know About Manscaping. There was a time when body hair used to be considered as a sign of masculinity. Those times, however, seem so far away.
Today, less is always more, and with body hair, manscaping has become the new code word for “cool”. Men have become very conscious about their physical appearance and body hair seems to be one of the biggest impediments. Manscaping is now a ‘must do’ in order to be cool with the guys or in with the ladies. Simply put, this is nothing but getting rid of excess body hair, especially in the nether regions. While there are many methods to get this done, here are a few essentials you should take into consideration.
Well it started with men aping what they saw in movies or porn films. Beefed up men with hairless bodies seemed to be far more appealing than their hairy counterparts. The trend soon caught on and spread like wild fire. Even Indian actors who once kept warm with their body hair are now suddenly shaved clean.
Which parts should be manscaped?
Everything from your neck down falls within the perimeter of manscaping. It all depends on how much body hair you’re dealing with here. Primarily you may want to reduce to get rid of hair on the chest, back, arm pits, genitals and legs. Some even go as far as the buttocks. At the end of the day, it’s your comfort level that you base these decisions on.
When you think of those sensitive regions, hygiene is of utmost importance. A clean shaven approach is hygienic and is less prone to odour and infections. The arm pits for instance are prone to intense sweating and subsequent sweat stains on your shirt. You are better off without it and on a personal level, you are already scoring points. You literally begin to feel more comfortable in your own skin.
You look hotter
Most women today are just not into grizzly bears anymore. Hairy chests and backs are so passé and when they travel down south, they honestly prefer at least trimmed interiors if nothing more. They also say that if you get rid of the hair down there, it makes your package look bigger. Now who can say no to that?
There are so many options
There are various methods to manscaping. You can take your pick from electric to manual razors, creams, waxing and even long term or permanent solutions like laser treatments. One word of advice however, is to be careful when using hair removal creams on your genitals as the skin in the area is very sensitive and can react to the chemicals in the cream. It is better to test the cream on another area first to check for any allergic reaction.
There is very little to think about here. The old school macho men might still want to hold on to their “manliness” but with the way things are going, it won’t be long before they give in. If you are on the fence, give it a shot. If you don’t like it, the hair will always grow back. But if you do and decide to stick with it, some folks might even think you are cool.
