It’s 7.00 or 8.00 AM. You look as if you’ve been run over by a tank. Your face looks bad, you’re rough around the edges, you smell and that stubble on your face is doing nothing to hide the debauchery from the night before. And to top that, you’ve a very important meeting at 11.00 AM. What’s a man got to do? Well, you’ll shower, brush your teeth, shave that 5’o clock shadow off and at max wear the best shirt from your wardrobe. That’s alright but it won’t make you look like the refined and polished person you want to be. What will? We tell you, of course.

1) Deep Clean Your Face

Massaging your face with an extremely high quality face wash is imperative to get an instantly brighter skin. Do this while in shower and save time because let’s face it, we hardly get 30 minutes in front of the mirror in the morning. Use a cleanser that also has exfoliation properties along with 2 percent salicylic acid. It will help you remove dirt and grime from your face, and will also make a perfect canvas for the morning shave. For an instantaneous clearer skin, wash your face with cold water.

2) Eat Power Breakfast

Breakfast, they say, is the most important meal of the day, and they couldn’t be more right. Go for a meal that will up our energy for hours until you refuel yourself with a power-packed lunch. A healthy, power breakfast is a combination of proteins with low-burn carbs. So, say oats with fruits and yogurt or milk, eggs – sunny-side up or boiled (cooked in olive oil) with brown bread toast and some flash-fried chicken are good options. If you have absolutely no time, blend some fresh fruits with milk and add a dash of protein powder and you’re good to go.

3) Treat The Skin Under Your Eyes With The Help Of Cold Spoons

This may sound like an old grandma’s tale, but it’s a trick that definitely works. A night of heavy drinking is almost always followed by a morning that’s wrecked with a headache and panda eyes. While a cold shower and good breakfast will help the former, the latter can be dealt by using cold, refrigerated metal spoons onto your under eyes for 30 seconds or so. You’ll see an instant puff-reduction. Doesn’t even cost you a thing!

4) Lay Out Your Clothes

It sounds kind of ridiculous to lay out your clothes and decide what you are going to wear well before in advance than on-time, but it seriously helps. You should do this in the night because deciding what to wear to office can be tricky and time consuming. We are not asking you to match the colour of your clothes, but a careful consideration in what you’re going to wear to work can enhance your appearance. Wear them crease-free and wear them fresh. Nothing can be a bigger turn off than smelly clothes that seem they haven’t seen the face of water in eternity. Put some cologne and you’ll be good to go.

5) Dance It Out

Ideally, fitting in a cardio exercise routine along with pushups in the morning is the way to go. But if you can’t exercise in the morning, put on some groovy music and dance your way out while getting ready. You’ll get a good jumpstart, your mood will alleviate and the dancing will get your heartbeat up. This will also get your blood flow faster through your veins and into your skin. That will give you some colour and make you feel instantly alive.

6) Finish It With A Moisturizer

Benefits of using a moisturizer is not just short term, it will also help in keeping your skin look healthy as you age. If you have an oily or acne-prone skin, use an oil-free one. Combine with a cream that has SPF properties and no one can stop you from putting your best face forward.
